painting kids

this morning i had all 3 toddlers and annalee for a little over an hour. the first 1/2 went fine then my kids started freaking out and it all went down hill from there. i dont know how the 2 wonderful ladies at tulsi's preschool can take a room of 7 toddlers for 2 hours. NOT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
today i was talking to tulsi's teacher miss lynn and she said that tulsi does fantastic at school and she is a "model student". i wonder how long that will last! and i wonder if me or jon have EVERY gotten a comment like that during our school days...im guessing NOT!

knock on the wooden potty seat, cause it seems that tulsi is officially potty trained!!!!!! annalee seems close behind her.

the last 2 pictures are from this afternoon. tulsi wanted to do more painting and then finger painting. when she was doing the finger painting i asked her to show me her hands. i giggled when she did it and then she started chasing me around laughing showing off her hands as i tried to take a picture. but i had my wonderful 50mm on so i could not really get it because she was always too close. it was kind of scary having a full out painted red hands chasing me and giggling. i thought i was going to get nailed. i never did, and i never got the picture either.

on picture note, here is the link to the wedding slideshow that some of my pictures on in. it would be impossible to let you know which are mine, so just enjoy the show if you are interested.

7 weeks

annalee is 7 weeks tomorrow and to me she is huge. i had to change out all of her clothes already. she is in 3-6 month clothes. she continues to increase in smiling. it makes me so happy when she smiles.
she really is pleasant. it is getting much easier to understand her. she only cries when she needs to nurse, pee, poop or that she needs to sleep. me and jon have been peeing and pooping her so much. i really can not believe how easy it is. we just bring her over the bathroom sink and make a sound and she almost always goes pee or poop.
even though we did this technique called elimination communication with tulsi it still continues to amaze us how well and easy it works.
if you are reading this with a small child you should surely try it out.

sister

tulsi wanted to be in the pictures. annalee certainly likes her sister, but when she is put on tulsi's lap she it always ends in crying.

jon's nature walk

jon was a brave soul yesterday and took 4 children deep into the woods to trail blaze to a waterfall.
he said that tulsi did great, and could maneuver excellently through the off trail terrain.
since it was about 2 hour hike. i picked up the little ones (jason, arjun and tusli) and jon and matthew (almost 11) walked back. i really did not take pictures there cause i was a nervous about tulsi throwing rocks off the bridge. the bridge was high and big gaps on the railing.
the pictures were from before the hike.

yesterday i took some concept pictures for one of our new products which is made from corn.
it was only hard cause i had both the girls needing some love, but eventually annalee feel asleep and i put her in the stroller. tulsi got herself occupied by playing in a fire pit with COLD ashes. the things i do to get something done. funny enough tulsi really did not get that dirty from playing with ashes.

portraits from the nature walk

i continue to love the 50mm lens, but that cant be too interesting to report. yesterday we had our monthly nature walk with Nathanial. it was here on campus, which was nice. we learned about some trees, plants and we went into the woods to find some mushrooms. i was happy that tulsi was not really interested in learning about native mushrooms, but just liked playing with sticks.
