obama!

 

in our house we are really happy about Obama!
our good and generous friend alena went to the inauguration in dc and brought back pins, a mug, and a flag. we watched the inauguration at their house and unlce slim's favorite part was when george bush got in the helicopter and tulsi started screaming "bye, bye bushy!"
lately she waves the flag her screaming "obama!"
w remains to be her favorite letter though ;)
she does tell me that obama is going to help us stop fighting. and i believe her.

i know i have written a lot about our local deer, but they are practical house pets!
we went to go out on sound of music hill, but as soon as they saw us they came looking for hand outs. there are some people who are actually feeding these 4 house pet deer out of their hands (okay we have done it too, but only once!).
we did not have food with us, but they followed us anyway.
the day was nice, so we took advantage and even got to play with the neighbor too.

so now i really know about when you ask a 2-4 year old to "smile" what amazingly horrible smiles you get.
i do know better, but for some reason i asked tulsi to "smile" and it cracks me up how her face contorted with the request (image 1). then i laughed hard and i got a real smile, and then she stuck out her tounge.

tulsi wanted to make our own costumes, which i was excited about.
she did not want to draw on hers, just glitter.
this was the same day as the deer pictures above.
we had a really good day. some of my favorites tulsi talk of the day was.
in the morning she was playing with her water and i asked "what are you doing?" she said "im trying to make my water laugh!"
"do fairies pick their nose?"

tulsi has been really into her monkey bathrobe the past couple of days.
luckily she even has matching jammies that she loves, thanks to her grandma linda.

grandma linda gave annalee this cute red suit and i wanted to take some pictures for her to see.

lately tulsi asks about fairy behavior a lot, like do fairies have potties? do they wear pants? what do they eat for breakfast? but tulsi decided for herself that fairies have sparkles on their hands.

tulsi asked if she could rock annalee, so we tried it out. annalee did not like it that much :(

we walked to lunch the other day and tulsi was so happy to run and dance on her favorite letter.
(tulsi is still into her fairy dresses. she likes the blue one my mom gave her best lately.)
